Wetpour Repair

Wetpour Repair

If you have a wet pour surface at your playground it is important that you take the time to look after it and keep it in good condition. This will not only prevent injuries to children but also ensure that it continues to function as a safe surface. A Wetpour Repair of the surfacing will remove dirt and debris from the EPDM rubber and can help to stop it from becoming slippy when it is wet. It is recommended to use a chemical de-icer instead of rock salt/grit as this can damage the surface and reduce the porosity.

Wetpour Repair

Wet pour is a popular safety surfacing type which is made from small rubber granules that are bonded together with a polyurethane resin and then poured over tarmac to create a soft play surface that can be used for jumping, running, and falling. It is very durable and provides a high level of safety for kids when they are playing, and it can also be colored to suit any design requirements that you may have.

Over time the wetpour can start to shrink around the edges which can cause a trip hazard and it is important to get this fixed as soon as possible. We can do this in a quick and easy process with a ‘band repair’. This involves cutting around the existing edging and then filling it back in with new wetpour which is graded to match the original surfacing, minimizing any potential trip hazards.
