Did you think user groups go into hibernation just because of Covid-19? Nope, they are held online. Read about this and other news from the HCL community here!
The German user group (DNUG) has spread their conference over several online conferences. The first one was earlier this week, and on June 3rd Domino Day will be held. Our very own Hogne will give his presentation on how to be a HCL Notes superhero, which is something you really should see. You can register for the conference here.
Other news:
- Tips from HCL Master David Hablewitz on how to give good presentations at our usergroups (and other conferences)
- Migrating your applications off Domino is harder than you think

And finally: If you use a search engine such as Google or Yahoo to search for “Notes uninstall”, a link to the URL “www.uninstallhelps.com” will show up in the top 2 or 3 results (this is as of May 21, 2020). The site claims to offer an “effective solution to completely uninstall” IBM Lotus 8.5.2. Upon clicking the link, you will be taken to a legitimate-looking page offering several methods for uninstalling the software. Do not click on any of the download links; doing so will initiate the download of Trojan Horse malware onto your computer.
HCL has a support article about it.
